Wildseed Farm

We got away for a week of  fun and relaxation.

I always like to stop in at the Wildseed Farm in Fredericksburg Texas cuz there is always lots to see.

This is the first time I had the stroller and the girls did very well in it.

We got a lotta smiles as we strolled around the grounds. It was hot tho so I tried to stay in the shade cuz my arms were breaking out in hives...... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek !!!

Signs, signs everywhere signs..

Hubby and I plus the doggies went on a little road trip. I took these pictures & got mostly signs.... We drove through many small towns, Cleburne, Hillsboro, Mexia, Hubbard, Brandon, or as Hubby calls them "a wide spot on the road." We had a most enjoyable day. Trouble was we got lost a few times cuz there wasn't enough signs to guide us along our way.

Creepy crawly things

This is a weeny teeny little bug,
I used the macro setting on my camera.
It's standing on a dead rose bud.
A toad shot...
He looks grumpy !
Another toad, another night.
This one blended in perfectly with the sand & gravel.
This guy was digging up nuts...
Some wild fungus growing out of an old tree stump.

Luckenbach 2002

We love to go to Luckenbach for the atmosphere, a beer or two
accompanied with a sausage on a stick.
The Post Office

A big ol' Oak tree and an old building that is no longer there.

Artist: Jennings Waylon

Song: Luckenbach, Texas

There's only two things in life that make it worth livin'

That's guitars that tune good and firm feelin' women

I don't need my name in the marquee lights

I got my song and I got you with me tonight

Maybe it's time we got back to the basics of love

Let's go to Luckenbach Texas with Waylon and Willie and the boys

This successful life we're livin' got us feuding

like the Hatfield and McCoy's

Between Hank Williams pain songs, Newberry's train songs

and blue eyes cryin' in the rain, out in Luckenbach Texas

ain't nobody feelin' no pain

So baby let's sell your diamond ring

Buy some boots and faded jeans and go away

This coat and tie is choking me

In your high socitey you cry all day

We've been so busy keepin' up with the Jones

Four car garage and we're still building on

Maybe it's time we got back to the basics of love

Let's go to Luckenbach Texas with Waylon and Willie and the boys

This successful life we're livin' got us feuding

like the Hatfield and McCoy's

Between Hank Williams pain songs, Newberry's train songs

and blue eyes cryin' in the rain out in Luckenbach Texas

ain't nobody feelin' no pain

Let's go to Luckenbach Texas with Willie and Waylon and the boys

This successful life we're livin' got us feuding

like the Hatfield and McCoy's

Between Hank Williams pain songs and Jerry Jeff's train songs

and blue eyes cryin' in the rain out in Luckenbach Texas

ain't nobody feelin' no pain.
